Rossellis: Dr's Appointments

Brody had his nine month Dr's Appoitnment on Monday. He weighs 19.6 lbs and is 30 in long. That leaves him in the 26% tile for weight and 90% for height. I don't really understand the whole Dr's chart and how they rank children in their percents. Especially because anywhere we go people are amazed Brody is not walking yet. His size leads them to believe he is at least 12 months old. Not to mention, he does not fit any clothing unless it is 12-18 months. He has already grown out of some of the 12 month outfits that Ethan wore at 18-24 months. Brody is doing great, he already has seven teeth. Which I am super thankful for because he is an amazing eater. He will eat whole chicken nuggets all by himself, mashed potatoes, macaroni. Pretty much anything that is editable you can rely on Brody to finish. He is army crawling eveywhere, Ethan does not like that too much as he is used to being able to play just out of Brody's reach. Now he has to move all over the room because Brody follows him everywhere. Ethan gets so frustrated and is always saying "no Brody!" It's cute to watch. Most of the time Ethan and Brody do play very well together.

Ethan is doing great he weighs 23 lbs. We can not get over how smart and thoughtful he is. He can count to 15, he knows all but 5 of his ABC's. He also knows all of his colors but grey, and black. We are so proud of him! He is not potty trained yet, not because he has not caught on, but because I have not started to work with him yet. I want to wait until he is at least 2.5 - 3, that way it does not take as much time and is a little bit easier on us all. Ethan absolutely loves HotWheels, school busses, and trucks, he plays with them all day. So we recently bought him a 2004 Hot Wheels Collectors edition Train Table off of Craigslist. You have got to love Craigslist these things normally go for $120 - $150 new and we got it for $50. We were so lucky though because any of the HotWheel train tables we found on Craigslist were either sold right away or going for $80-$100. Anyway, Ethan and Brody played on the table for four hours when they got up the next morning. So we already got our moneys worth.

As for my pregnancy, I am 27 Weeks today with ONLY 91 Days To Go. Other than being huge and feeling super tired in the mornings, I feel great! For those of you who do not know we are naming this baby Caelum (Kay-lum) Nash. It means Heaven. We both love it and are excited it won't be a name that a lot of children will have.
